Memorial Day Weekend

I promise, I won't be posting more than once a day usually, but I do want to show everyone what we did over the long weekend.

On Saturday we went to a cookout at our friend's, The Bruce's.  They had the backyard set up like a 3 year old's heaven!  Max has a ball playing with all the kids, but especially with his bff Hayden. Funny story about Hayden, Max and the Bruce's 5 year old Tyler...  Tyler is a bit of a bully, ok?  Well apparently he was being mean to Hayden and made him cry.  Max went up to Tyler and said "you made Hayden sad!"  Then went back to console Hayden and told him "I'm gonna fight that man!"  (Tyler is man-ish, being two years older I guess!)  WHAT!?!?  So Tyler heard Max say he wanted to fight... well Tyler grabbed him from behind and threw him to the ground; Tyler then took a bouncy ball and smashed it against Max's face.  Max took it all!  Finally when Chris asked him if he was ok, he started crying.  Poor Max, trying to stick up for his little friend!!  Anyway, we got a good laugh out of it...

Sunday we had our friend's the Rutkai's over.  Max loved playing with Mara and teaching Chris and Julie how to play the Wii.  The kids were up till 10pm, but that didn't stop Max from waking up at 6am on Monday morning, no way!
